            IMPORTANT NOTICE!!!

FINALLY, it's OFFICIAL! We got a date reserved for Northridge Skateland's Adult Night Reunion XIII. It will take place on July 11, 2010 from 7:30pm to 12 midnight. Admission will be $10.00 and skate rental is $5.00. Admittance will be for 16 and older. Valid ID is required.

Just like last year, Skate Week should be fun. However, due to this year's reunion taking place on a Sunday, the Disneyland trip has been cancelled. Details for the Rink Ratz Hall of Fame ceremony, Luau and Parties will be put out in the weeks to come. Everyone is most certainly welcome and please tell anyone you can think of. Let's make this year's reunion bigger & better than last year's record breaking event.

The next Old School Classic Adult Night will take place on Monday March 15, from 8pm to 10:30pm. Admission is $10. Skate rental is free. Although the number of skaters from the last session slightly went down, we definitely need your support to boost our numbers to help ensure that we keep our adult night. In keeping with tradition, the private party is for 18 and over skaters, lights on for the session and the great disco & rock from the 70's. Please send all your music requests to RinkRatzUsa@yahoo.com.

The Skateland owner and management are offering this compromise to us. We will need to exceed the amount of people we had from our last private party to be able to continue with these Adult Night parties. I strongly urge everyone to email me (RinkRatzUsa@yahoo.com) with any and all suggestions and/or comments. All will be highly considered for the final outcome. This is our very last opportunity to have an "Old School Classic Adult Night at Northridge Skateland. Again, please email your thoughts on this matter. The sooner I get all your responses, the sooner we can improve "our session". I would like to thank everyone for your input and support. Please help by spreading this message to anyone you can think of who would be interested (my space - facebook, etc.) Please help make this session be a great success by informing everyone you can think of. This event is sposored by the United States Rink Ratz Association (U.S.R.R.A. / RinkRatzUsa.com). See you all on March 15'th!

It is with a heavy heart that I must relay to you the news of the passing of a fellow Rink Rat. The funeral service for Kevin MacMillan, a long time skater & ex-DJ for Northridge Skateland was held at Christian & Missionary Alliance Church of Simi Valley. It was a very nice service and many fellow Rink Ratz were their to pay their respects.

A very special thanks goes out to Beth Dickinson for her much appreciated computer skills. Beth helped create last year's reunion digital banner, as well as creating the LUAU 2009 flyer. Beth is a well versed computer designer and I highly recommend that you contact her for all your computer design endevours. Beth can be reached at:  ladytypesetter@gmail.com .

If you're looking to try something new, check out the monthly Space Roller Disco. It's held every 4'th Saturday of the month. As always, it's gonna' be a great event. If you’ve read my past reviews on the Roller Disco, you know it’s going to be a KICK-ASS event. Too many Afro wigs, glittered shirts, bell bottom pants and rainbow stockings to even count (ahhh, the 70's).

DJ Dennis & DJ Riley More will be on fire playing the most excellent mix of disco music. No, not that digital crap; they go "Old School" and hit us with the classic "vinyl". Yep, you heard me right. They will be spinning discs. For all you baby boomers, that means they will be playing and mixing actual vinyl records (LP's). And they most definitely kick ass! They will have that rink poppin'! Bonnie is the manager there and he's a great guy. You can also check out his collection of vintage roller skates and vintage cell phones.
